Here is my finished video.
'A Night in the City'

I have spent a few hours editing my video footage. Firstly I viewed all the footage that I had gathered and chose the scenes I wanted to include and discarded the rest.
I then cut each of the scenes and arranged them so that they would match the beat of the audio track. Once I was happy with the arrangement I added title screens at the begining and end of the video.
The audio track was longer than the video footage so I cut the audio track down and faded it out at the appropriate point. After the editing was complete I saved the entire thing as a .wav file so that it was suitable for web delivery.

New Idea
I've decided that instead of filming a group of friends out on the town, I will film random scenes of nightlife around town.Getting a group together was proving a little difficult and I think this new approach will give me an opportunity to get a wider range of footage and will give the video a more edgy, realistic feel.
I want the video to have a loose story to it with a beginning, middle and end. the video will have an intro sequence with footage of people getting ready for a night out, followed by the nightlife/urban street scenes and finally some scenes of people getting home at the end of the night.
This idea retains the 'girls and boys' element to tie in with the audio track but the main body of the video will have a definite 'urban city' feel to it.
